3 p.m. (CET)
with Dr. Yuriy Chushkin
from the ID10 beamline at the ESRF
Scattering of coherent X-rays is a powerful and unique tool to study slow dynamics in disordered systems and to image microscopic specimens with high resolution. Since 1994, the ID10 beamline at the ESRF is specialized in coherent scattering, using X-ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy (XPCS) and Coherent Diffraction Imaging (CDI). Both techniques gain enormously from the recent upgrade of the ESRF source ESRF-EBS that increased the coherent flux by more than a factor of 50.
In this webinar, Dr. Yuriy Chushkin, Beamline Operations Manager, will describe the scientific applications of the coherent scattering to studies of dynamics and imaging, as well as outline the new opportunities enabled by the ESRF-EBS.
