This year's edition of the Erice School of Crystallography addresses electron crystallography and quantum crystallography. This intensive school hosts only a small number of participants, selected by the organizing commitee. Artem Kabanov is one of them.
Artem is a PhD student at the Russian Academy of Sciences, where he is using Density Functional Theory (DFT) to model the properties of crystalline materials. In order to broaden his expertise (and network), he applied for the Erice school and DECTRIS was happy to support his attendance.
Unfortunately, we cannot send all of you to Erice. But, should you be interested in DFT, keep an eye on the DECTRIS website - Artem will summarize the outcomes.
